Thanks for Giving: Hurricane Relief Benefit!

A  fantastic opening day for the 2017-18 Season, The Venice Institute for the Performing Arts hosted a fundraiser benefiting The Gulf Coast Community Foundation’s Hurricane Relief Fund and honoring our local first responders while entertaining audience’s with a fantastic performance from The Broadway Boys!

This full day also included a Cook Out with food provided by Darrell’s Restaurant and a Master Class for Sarasota County High School Students with The Broadway Boys.

Thank you to all of our first responders and our community for coming together to help each other in a time of need!

The day started out with a master class where Sarasota County Schools High School Students got to perform for The Broadway Boys and receive feedback, tips, and tricks to help them prepare for college and professional auditions. The Broadway Boys then picked 3 of those students to perform during intermission of last night’s show. Congratulations to Tay, Kinsey, and Jillian on an amazing performance!

Our Cook Out gave time to thank first responders. The Venice Institute for Performing Arts also offered discounts on tickets when patrons donated a nonperishable item! We are happy to report we will be bringing 4 over flowing boxes of donated items to the All Faith’s Food Bank this week!
