About VIPA

The Venice Institute for Performing Arts (VIPA) has a mission to sustain the local arts community through innovative educational programs and inspire the local community with first-class entertainment. As the management company for the Venice Performing Arts Center, we work with all groups that use the space to produce, co-produce, manage, and coordinate over 200 events each season. VIPA has a $1.85 million dollar a year impact on the local economy, and this number grows each year as more and more people come to enjoy this beautiful facility. We are able to bring performing arts educational to more than 2,000 Sarasota County youth each season through our educational programs.

COMMUNITY THOUGHTS

Beautifully situated on Venice Island, Florida! Kudos to the city leaders and community for their vision to invest in this architectural and cultural gem.

Sarah

This is a civic treasure! The entire town should be excited about another performing arts venue; this only enhances our growing reputation for cultural awareness and support of the arts, and having many high school students involved in apprenticeships is a welcome addition! Go!

David

Beautiful and amazing! I can’t believe it took me this long to find VPAC, but it is an amazing theater and they have some great shows!

Brian

A Venice treasure with good seating and acoustics. Enjoy either first level or balcony seating.

Fred

Lisa

M. Angier

Beautiful. Handicap accessible. Plenty of seating area options for wheelchairs with chairs for others to sit together. Great sound system. Stage easily veiwed from every angle of seating.

HOW CAN YOU HELP

This is your venue. The VPAC was built with the intent to make Venice a place for recreation and the arts year round. Whether you want to volunteer to usher at shows, in the box office, or on special projects; or you want to become a donor, your support is vital to programming and educational opportunities here at the VPAC.
