ABOUT VIPA
The Venice Institute for the Performing Arts Management’s mission is to sustain the arts through innovative education programs and inspiring Venice and its surrounding communities with first-class entertainment, events and experiences. As the management company for the Venice Performing Arts Center, we work with all groups that use the space to produce, co-produce, manage, and coordinate over 300 events each season. VIPAM has a $5 million dollar a year impact on the local economy, and this number grows each year as more people come to enjoy this beautiful facility. We can bring performing arts education to more than 2,000 Sarasota County youth each season through our educational programs.
Performing Arts Organizations
The Venice Performing Arts Center (VPAC) is a joint project between the City of Venice and the Sarasota County School Board. The VPAC is home to the Venice High School Performing Arts Department and the Venice Institute for Performing Arts (VIPA). It also hosts three local performing arts organizations: the Venice Concert Band, The Venice Chorale, and The Venice Symphony. This is your venue. The VPAC was built with the intent to make Venice a place for recreation and the arts year round. Whether you want to volunteer to usher at shows, in the box office, or on special projects; or you want to become a donor, your support is vital to programming and educational opportunities here at the VPAC.
