VIPArts Apprentice Hunter lands Apprenticeship at the Asolo Repertory Theatre!

During their senior year at Venice High School, students are eligible for a paid apprenticeship through the Venice Institute for Performing Arts!  Approximately 10 students each year are given this prestigious apprenticeship.  During their time with VIPArts, students get hands on learning experience working with theatrical professionals in multiple fields such as theatrical sound engineering, box office management, and marketing.

During his time as an apprentice, Hunter has shown dedication to his work and excitement to learn as much as he can about both theatrical lighting and sound.  When VIPArts managing director, Becca Eldredge, was approached by the local stage hands union (IATSE) looking for a student for an apprenticeship at the Asolo, she knew Hunter would make a great fit.

Hunter started his Apprenticeship at the Asolo on Friday, March 31st where he is working on the play, The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity.
Congrats Hunter!
