80’s tribute artist Barry Britton will perform four mini concerts of Rod Stewart, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, and Neil Diamond benefiting the Venice Veterans Salute! Barry Britton just doesn’t sing their hits but transforms himself into these stars and belts out rock anthems and ballads with all the energy and passion of the original artist. The fundraiser is sponsored by Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice, Inc. and is a salute to United States military veterans with special recognition to soldiers of the Gulf War. All proceeds will benefit programs and services of Catholic Charities that assist veterans. The event will also highlight muscle cars from the Gulf War era, and include a silent auction and military displays. Lobby doors will open at 12:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 2 p.m. A tribute will be paid to veterans at the start of the performance by City of Venice Mayor John Holic and Florida Representative and Gulf War Veteran Julio Gonzalez. Actor and producer Gene Bicknell and local singing artist Hannah Jae will be the master and mistress of ceremonies. Attending this show of Bary Britton tributes is like seeing four of the greatest rock artists all in one afternoon!
